My Weight Loss Journey

For the past few months I've been working hard on eating better and exercising in order to obtain my dream gyaru body. It hasn't been easy because, lets face it, temptation is everywhere! Unfortunately I've definitely fallen for it these past two weeks, but I'm writing this post as a reminder of my success and to motivate myself.

The Beginning

I started my Journey a week after New Years, and after weeks of eating a tragic diet of cookies and fatty foods it was no small feat. While my poor eating habits during Christmas and new years didn't make me pack on any extra pounds, but instead it helped me maintain the unhealthy weight I already had. Come New Years I felt like garbage. I was most definitely out of shape. I could tell by how hard it was for me to do something as easy as walk around without getting tired. On top of that, My clothes made me feel uncomfortable, they were snugger then usual and my skin was constantly breaking out. My self esteem was completely shot. I wouldn't even put on make up because I wouldn't make me feel or look any better. Forget about gyaru! I had quit being a gal months ago, felt too fat then so why would even bother now?

I was tired of these feelings, and New Years eve I made a resolution to start getting healthy and taking care of my body and working on my self esteem. However this year I did it different and followed one of my favorite youtubers actions, meekakitty, and decided not to tell anyone. I didn't want to feel the gratification of something until I actually started to do it.

My Process

The first few weeks of my diet reformation were certainly the hardest. To kick start my new lifestyle, I decided to try to detoxify my body in order to clear out some of the noxious substances that were in my body. To do so, I started to follow the book Detox by Sara rose.

In this book contains information on how to clear out your system and make you feel better over all. Mentally. Physically. You'll just feel better, and thats what I wanted. Now Little did I know, this book was pretty extreme. It cut out some of the items that were always in my diet: Milk, wheat and red meat. To me that was CRAZY. What the hell was I supposed to eat? On top of that what was I supposed to make for my girlfriend who wasn't detoxing? Originally my girlfriend agreed to detox with me, but naturally that didn't last long. The recipes in the book were sort of strange to me. It was completely gluten free, low sodium and heavy in vegetables. Fortunately, I was allowed to eat fish and sometimes white meat like chicken. The food was so fresh tasting, which all though delicious still took some time getting used to. Foods saturated in sodium and fat were my norm, this was just... different. Two weeks into the diet and I got used it. I Liked actually cooking my own food and controlling what went into it. Most importantly I enjoyed how I was feeling most of all. I was feeling more energetic and happy! That just meant it was time to introduce something else into my healthy life: exercise.

I continued to to stay on my detox into mid February and I was felling great! I started working out to blogilaties videos and also at planet fitness with a personal trainer. It was time for me to graduate to a new diet book. one that introduced wheat and dairy back into my diet.

I ended up choosing this cookbook because I wanted meals both me and my girlfriend would enjoy. THe meals in this are absolutely delicious! Since I started this diet I've also been plugging all of my food into my fitness pal (myfitnesspal.com) and lost weight with the help of the website/app!

All in all by my birthday on March 3rd I lost a total a total of 18 pounds! this is awesome, but only a fraction of my weight loss goals. By the end of this summer I want to lose a total of 60 pounds. Since my birthday I've been a little off track, but as of today I'm back on it! I'm ex cited to continue my journey.

Some things I've learned along the way

  • Eat on small plates and use small utensils- this will trick the eye and the mind into thinking you're eating more than you actually are
  • Eat on blue plates and bowls- nothing you eat is actually blue, this is sort of a mind game. it'll trick into believing that what you're eating isn't edible, making it so you don't go back for another plate
  • drink lots of water before and after your meal- it'll make you fuller faster.
  • load up on veggies- they're full of water!
These are just things that work for me, that doesn't necessarily mean it will work on everyone. ^_^

 My Thinspo inspiration

Megu Fujigamori

My god she is thin, but it looks so good o her, she actually looks healthy. No realistically I'll still have more butt, boob and thigh then her, it's in my genetics, but she's definitely inspiring to look at.

Anyways that's all for this post!!

Birthday and B-day haul part 1

So last Sunday was my birthday And my god was I spoiled! I spent most of my day shopping with my honey, and was treated like a princess.

 My B-day Coord

So on this day I was going for a sweeter look almost like something I've seen in a past Ageha issue, but instead it just ended up looking very onee. I still love this coord, and the fact that it looks like some sort of gyaru sub-style is a plus for me. I worked really hard on my make, even went a little more heavy handed! Still, I know I can definitely improve.

Coord Contents
Cardigan: Old Navy
Shirt: American Eagel
Jeans: Target
Heels: Shii
Bracelets: Forever 21/ J crew

Thanks to my wonderful girlfriend, mother and Friends my birthday ended up being so awesome! I went out to eat with my Baby and then we went shopping!! Honestly this was probably the best thing for me to do since I need to start working on my Gyaru wardrobe.
Here's What I ended up buying.
<3

Sephora
I am a Sephora addict. I go in there pretty much any time I'm in the mall. Since I work in the mall that means basically every day lol.

 Sephora Perfectionist Makeup Sponge.
This first item I'm really excited to use.
Now I know it's not a beauty blender, but it's definitely a decent alternative.
The pointed tips are going to add persicion when I apply my foundation and concealer.

Urban Decay All Nighter: Makeup Setting Spray
When I first went to spehora I orginally intended to pick up UD's De-slick spray, but I figure
this is worth a shot too.

 Nails Inc. Special Effects: Cupcake
I swear when I saw this polish it was love at first sight! I mean the fact that this polish is cupcake themed AND looks like it has button sprinkles in it has me really excited to use it. I believe it will mae a pretty wicket accent nail.

 Josie Maran Argan Oil
This was actually an added bonus I got with my Sephora purchase. This oil is supposedly
good for your skin, and nails.

Tilly's
Now I don't normally shop at Tilly's, but they had some seriously cute items for this season.
To my surprize, they had loads of floral prints with barely any trible.
perfect
<3
I love this locket necklace. It has sort of a vintage element to it.
I can't wait to add a picture of my honey !
>//<

The last thing I bought from Tilly's was this really cute fringe clutch. I loved that i was convertible and could easily become a shoulder bag. I want to try making some cute Spring/ Summer coords with this.

....... I didn't know it was for tablets....

 Forever 21
This was most likely my second favorite palace I shopped on my birthday. The reason I'm so excited isn't only because I purchased cute clothes, but this is the first time in FOREVER that I'm actually able to fit things in Forever 21. Now this being said, I still have issues in the bust area when it comes to their clothes, but since I lost weight I've been able to fit things in the waist area and almost the hips! Eeee! Still going to keep working on my weight though.

This was a gift from my bestie, Danielle. I had a spiked headband before but it broke.

I bought this face massager in order to help out with my morning ritual. I hate messaging my face with my hands, but love the results. Hopefully this gets rid of the water retention in my face as well as the pain in my fingers.

Socks from Dani!! Probably going to wear these with a Roma Gyaru coord.

With all the additional makeup items I recently bought, my Hello kitty makeup bag is streched to it's limit. I had to upgrade to this really cute, really big, bag instead.

Really cute owl necklace from Dani <3 I've had this interest in owls lately so I absolutely love it!
These green tea face masks are very intresting. They're supposed to help oil control, I hope it works. I've already used one and it has a slight tingly feeling. Along with that, the oil on my face seemed to be controlled for a little while, but came back. not bad though.

It's... a bow...>.> Idk what to say other than I love it. Lol

This is one of the purchases I'm excited about. It's a beautiful blush colored blouse and it is totally BUSTY gyaru friendly. It fits me just right and is still loose and billowy at the waist and hips as it's intended to be.

I love this lace detailing in the shoulder! It'll make a nice base for a roma gyaru outfit, but it's also simple enough to be incorporated in an onee gyaru outfit too!

GOD i absolutely love this shirt!! It fits like a freaking DREAM and is ultra flattering on my figure!

It hase these really cute cut-outs on the shoulder which is the reason I wanted it so badly
Recently I was on the GOLDS Infinity site and saw a few dresses with cut-out shoulders and loved it so I'm glad I found this shirt.

The GOLDS Infinity cut-out dresses

Love the gold buttons on the blouse!!

The final item I bought at forever was this super cute sweater with hearts! I absolutely adored it, and it's my favorite color!
PINK!!!
     Details <3

Salon Plus

Glossyblossom flat back pearls
I used these on the nails I posted last time. I love their iridescent quality they have.

This is a very nice pink lipstick from NYX. It's just the right shade of pink. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's sparkly

This is a product I've always wanted to try. I have a horribly oily T-zone, and blotting sheets are kind of a temporary fix.

Other gifts
 Sweet Magazine:
This was another gift from my friend Dani, it's Sweet Magazine! This is one of my favorite Onee gyaru magazines.

It came with this really cute Velncia makeup bag!!

Lastly I bought the Revelon Just Bitten Kissable balm.
It's such a nice stain and it's not drying.
So This was the first of my birthday haul! The next one is going to be filled with some stuff I bought online. I'm just waiting for them to come in!! If anyone reads this and has any ideas for the items I have let me know.

Back Again: A New Gyaru Journey

It's almost been a year since I made my first post on here. A WHOLE YEAR. Needless to say I've barely done anything gyaru since that first post. Obviously I haven't posted anything either, which sucks on my part. I haven't had a chance to grow like other girls

Anyways, since my birthday is tomorrow this entire past week I've decided that I'm definitely getting back into gyaru. Now of course I'm back at the newbie stage which sucks. I have to get used to all the in's and outs of the community, make, clothes etc. However I'm just as excited as before! I'm going to dive right back into Agejo style with my beloved inspirations:
 Satomin

 Megu

 Chika and Chie

Yesterday and today I've been hard at work working on my deco nails. It's been a very long process but they came out fabulously!
I did everything myself including the sculpted acrylic nails! I used the Kiss Complete Salon Acrylic Kit.

I wasn't expecting them to come out so perfectly since I used nail forms and not he extensions, but they did! It's something I've always wanted to do, and now I'm ready to do more nail art experiments.

I have a good feeling about this. I'm really going to be doing gyaru and taking it seriously.!!

I feel like an excited little kid! Eeeee! <3
